Hi folks!

I'm setting up this thread to talk through the ramifications of the new Inflation Reduction Act and the 2022 MA Climate Law (An Act Driving Clean Energy and Offshore Wind).

I'm...not entirely sure what these new laws entail for us--I'm not super skilled at reading legislation, and I don't think all the implementation details have been sorted out anyway.

In particular, I'm unsure about:

1. What are the terms for the $2,000 heat pump tax credit in the Inflation Reduction Act? Will it apply retroactively to heat pumps installed in 2022? What if someone installs a heat pump and weatherization measures incentivized by that same tax credit?

2. What are the terms of the LMI rebates proposed by the Inflation Reduction Act?

3. There will be a Clean Energy Transmission Working Group from the MA 2022 Climate Law--what will they be doing / who might be on that group?

4. Are there any details on what these new MassCEC funding pools will do?
